Happy Monday!
In my last post, I shared the making of the album cover and today, I’ll show you what I did with the inside.
2. The criss cross binding
I decided that since the spine of the album is rather thick at 2″, I should bind in two signatures. I got some pretty old but lovely k&company papers and cut them to various random sizes that fit the album (means when folded, they should be 9″x9″ or smaller)
We start of the binding by punching 4 holes, two for each of the signatures. I then punched two holes on each of the spine of the signatures.
Thread the ribbon through both holes of the signature, from inside out. Then thread it through the holes on the album spine.
Now, criss-cross the ribbon and thread it through the holes on the spine as shown below.
I forgot to take a photo of the last step! But it is rather simple, just thread the ribbon into your second signature and tie a dead knot, followed by a bow if you have enough ribbon!
To include the National Day publications, I made a pocket at the back of the album as shown above!
Have fun!
