Tutorial: Camera Version 1

Hello! And long time no see…but back with a vengence =)

(Hello Mika! I finally did it!! Sorry for the delay!)

With the Camera version 2 being taught in PaperMarket now, i think it’s time i share the tutorial for version 1 for those who missed it. I hope the instructions are clear.

First, download and print out a copy of the following as a template.

You will need to trace them out on cardstocks. Two each of the above. Like this..

Next, fold them into accordian according to the lines. All four pieces.

Once you’re done, you will need to stick them to a base. It can be an acrylic piece, chipboard for support. I’ve used a piece of paper just for demonstration sake. Stick with removable glue tape if possible as we will be kinda plucking it out later =)

Make sure the edges meet! You may overlap them.

You now need some tape. It can be my all time favourite Japanese Washi Tape or simple rubber tape (for taping wires!). You will need to tape the inside groove of the bellows. I think a picture or two might show you what i mean! *haha* Black tape is best but i’m using white tape for easy viewing.

Tape all three levels.

You do not need to be very neat here, but please make sure you join the gaps. This takes practice!

Next is the steps that will make your bellows neat. We will be taping one side at a time.

Tape, then fold down. Continue for the other sides. Gentle reminder that this has to be done one side at a time.

For the bottomest level, you will need to pluck the whole bellows out to tape.

And TADAAAAAAAAAA! You’re done with the bellows!

Now you can decorate as you wish. I did kinda like an accordian album for the back of my camera =) Do link back to me if you’ve done up your camera. I would love to see it!!
